conic sections

Hmm...does anyone know how to rig a planetary system in lightwave? i'm doing an independent study project on conic sections and i want to have a moving, working, scaled model of the solar system. it wont b hard to model the planets, but i'm just thinking that it might b hard to make the satelites orbit in a symetrical, equal rotation.

*sigh* i think i've bitten off a little more than i can chew with this one.
